I can support you to:

• understand the requirements / interpret the mark scheme.
• formulate an appropriate research topic (not too broad or narrow).
• develop a suitable approach to your issue, including exploring differing perspectives and solutions.
• develop organizational skills for both research and creating the presentation.
• cite and reference your sources. 
• focus on reflection and communication.
• develop clear oral arguments.
• work collaboratively with your group.

I cannot:

• proofread your presentation or notes.
• give you sources.
• conduct any of your research.
• directly tell you specifically how to improve your work.

30-minute online consultation which could include:

• Analysis of the mark scheme and requirements for the presentation and/or reflective paper
• Advice on conducting effective research and/or how to use presentation methods effectively.
• Discussion of your topic and solution and/or the progress of your team

30-minute offline preparation:

• You provide me with an outline, notes, and/or annotated bibliography of your presentation or reflective paper.
• I use the provided material to prepare for 30 minutes prior to our meeting. 

30-minute online consultation:

• A 30-minute discussion - led by you - regarding the material you have provided.
• The consultation could include discussion of any of the topics included in "30-Minute Online Consultation," above, specifically in relation to your project.

You will be provided with a sample presentation and/or reflective paper. Then we meet online for a total of one hour to discuss:

• How you would score the sample 
• Your reasoning behind the score
• Discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the sample 
• Expert feedback
• How to apply what you have learned to your own presentation and reflective paper.

We would spend 30 minutes ensuring proper credit is given to sources, including when to cite and how to format in-text citations and references pages.*

*I highly recommend using APA format but can assist you with MLA as well. 

To work on effective presentation skills:

• You would receive a sample Power Point. 
• You would be led through guided practice of how to use presentation methods judiciously within the program to enhance your information. 
• Allow 30 minutes.
